[Oa-italia] le due strade

Solo per rilanciare il tema delle due strade complementari di quale sia 
migliore vi cito un passo da un articolo sui repository che ho letto di 
recente:

"The rapidity and volume of online communication through peerreviewed
journals shows no sign of abating, and indeed shows
renewed energy and activity in recent years. Institutional repositories,
on the other hand, with their lack of an internal peer review system,
and without adequate and informed supervision from the institution
as to what is collected and made available, fall short on the most
important of these functions, registration and certification. The
findings of this study and of many others now tell us that these are
more important to academics than awareness and archiving."

Le autrici assegnano ai repository solo due delle tre funzioni loro 
tradizionalmente assegnate, ma non c'e' dubbio che la certificazione e 
il brand della rivista (piu' che la registrazione una funzione che 
comunque i repository svolgono ) sono due punti di forza delle riviste 
OA e non OA.
detto ciò come ho piu' volte affermato ci sono esempi nei quali le due 
strade gia' convergono e questo e' secondo me il loro  futuro.
