Over the last ten years, Open Access to scientific publications has become a
movement of increasing interest. Many questions are still on the floor for
discussion. With this evolution in mind, the F.R.S.-FNRS will organize a
workshop on Open Access to be held on *Wednesday the 28th of September 2011
in Brussels. *You are hereby cordially invited to this event.****

The audience will consist of scientists, policy makers and politicians. This
workshop, will among others tackle subjects such as:****

**-          **Financial implications of green and gold roads****

**-          **Should publicly funded academic knowledge be freely available
to all****

**-          **Policy and role of funding agencies****

**-          **Editors’ point of view****

**-          **Berlin and Budapest Declarations : follow-up****

**-          **Quality peer review for open access publications****

Please note the *28th of September* in your diaries. Registration will be
possible at the end of August on our website, which will also provide more
detailed information about the programme, the speakers and practical
details.****
