Dear Friends and Colleagues,
The Electronic Publishing Trust for Development is collecting 'OA
stories' and experiences as its contribution to OA week. Here was our
first anouncement on the EPT Blog:
We are just looking for reports of experiences as a result of using OA -
increased requests for articles/establishment of new research
partnerships/invitations to conferences/. . .
A recent example was when the head of a university told his researchers
that from now on he was using their Institutional Repository to assess
student progress, so it was no use coming to him with bundles of article
print-outs if they were looking for promotion! Another was a short
report of the tactics used by a repository manager from Mozambique to
encourage researchers to deposit their publications in their IR.
If you can send any such examples of the impact of OA on research or
institutions, then that would be wonderful.
Thanks for any help, and warm greetings to all.
