Oltre all'evento già segnalato in lista sull'Open Science che si
terrà a Bologna presso il CNR

nel medesimo giorno si terrà per un paio di ore lo SCOAP3 Forum
organizzato dall'Executive Comittee di SCOAP3. <br>
<br>
Anche quest'anno l'incontro si svolgerà nella modalità di webinar e
ha come oggetto l'impatto di questa iniziativa a quasi 2 anni dal
suo lancio. Si parlerà dei benefici che ne hanno tratto i soggetti
interessati, le modalità di questa collaborazione che ha visto
biblioteche, editori, ricercatori, laboratori enti finanziatori
della ricerca nella fisica delle particelle lavorare insieme e che
come risultato ha ottenuto la pubblicazione in<b> accesso aperto</b>
con licenza <b>CC BY </b>di oltre <b>8000</b> articoli di cui
oltre <b>1000 </b>con authorship italiana.<br>

I temi che saranno trattati durante il webinar sono il modello APC
adottato, il tasso di risposta da parte degli editori ai vari
requisiti, i benifici per le biblioteche e per i ricercatori
(facilitando notevolmente l'accesso e la gestione del modello OA APC
per gli stessi autori). Gli argomenti saranno preceduti da
presentazioni a cui seguirà una sessione di domande e risposte<br>

Nei prossimi giorni vi informeremo con precisione sull'orario e
forniremo i dettagli per la registrazione. Saranno tenuti due
webinar ad orari diversi nella medesima giornata per venire
incontro ai diversi fusi orari delle istituzioni afferenti a
SCOAP3. La durata sarà circa di 2 ore. <br>

provide an update on the initiative to date and exchange ideas

Access initiative is invited to join the SCOAP3 Forum – please

<p class="MsoNormal">This year’s theme is: “The impact of SCOAP3”.
During a 2-hour webinar, we will converse on the status of the
collaboration and how it has benefited all stakeholders after 2
years of operation and 8,000 articles published to date.
Presentations will discuss Article Processing Charges, the level
of compliance, and the benefits for libraries (including API
usage), funding agencies (including how mandates can be
implemented) and scientists (including how SCOAP3 transparently
facilitates gold Open Access publishing for authors).<o:p></o:p></p>

organized the same day to allow convenient participation across
