*Subject: Don't miss it: 3rd LEARN Workshop "Make research data
management policies work" 28th June, Helsinki*

Dear colleagues

We cordially invite you to register to attend the *3rd LEARN workshop*
“*Make research data management policies work*”,
_http://learn-rdm.eu/workshops/3rd-workshop/register_, a free event that
will be held in *Helsinki* the *28th of June*.

This is the third of five international workshops within the EU-funded
project,*LEARN *(LEaders Activating Research Networks (www.learn-rdm.eu
<http://www.learn-rdm.eu>), which addresses the challenges of existing,
disparate e-infrastructures and the global needs of research data. LEARN
workshops are designed to encourage all stakeholders - research funders,
organisations and decision makers, researchers, library and IT staff -
to explore their roles and responsibilities in the process of developing
policies for Research Data Management. The workshop in Helsinki will
present the work carried out by the project and provide a forum for
discussion and the exchange of advice, ideas and views in the *effective
implementation of RDM policies.*

This *3rd LEARN Workshop*, will include a morning session devoted to
lectures by *keynote speakers*, whereas the afternoon session will be
devoted to *breakout groups*, where best practices and case studies will
be identified and discussed. It will be followed by a *panel
sessions* with several experts who will discuss on the requirements for
putting RDM policies into practice, and a *closing keynote*.

We invite you to check the preliminary programme
<http://learn-rdm.eu/workshops/3rd-workshop/programme> at our website,
and register by filling out the online registration form
<http://learn-rdm.eu/register> (the event is free).
