Dear  Repository manager,

In the context of the European Union funded project DRIVER 
(http://www.driver-community.eu) we carry out an update of the DRIVER 
Inventory study of the present OAI-PMH compliant repositories for 
research output in the EU. We collected your email address and others 
using various sources in an attempt to be as comprehensive as possible.

The study aims at a complete inventory of the present state of Digital 
Repositories in all 27 countries of the European Union and Croatia, 
Norway, Switzerland and Iceland.  The results of the study will be made 
publicly available.
A Digital Repository is in this study defined as (1) containing research 
output from contemporary researchers (2) institutional or thematic and 
(3) OAI-PMH compliant.

I hope that you or one of your colleagues might be willing to 
participate in this study.

Participating in this study will cost you an estimated 20 to 30 minutes.

Why should you and your repository participate? This inventory study 
will serve as the basis for the creation of a common infrastructure for 
repositories by the DRIVER project. Thus, participation in this study 
will increase the visibility of the repository of your institute as part 
of the wider European infrastructure and help to expand this further.
